Our virtual events allow you to meet with UCSB staff and students, learn about opportunities on campus, get tips on filling out your UC application, and more. Virtual Freshman Event Offerings

• Campus Admission Presentation: Learn more about life at UCSB including academics, student life, and research, as well as an admissions overview and live Q&A. 
• UCSB Freshman Selection: Join UCSB Admissions Counselors as we discuss the freshman admission and selection process at UCSB in a live webinar. We will share the freshman admissions process, what we look at, and how we evaluate your UC application. 
• UC Application Workshop: Join us as we share the freshman UC Application in a live webinar. We explore where students make mistakes and how you can get ready to work on your own UC freshman application this fall. The UC application is shared by all nine undergraduate UC campuses. This webinar is intended to help you apply to any UC campus. Note: We will host special nonresident and international-focused sessions.
• UC Personal Insight Questions: The UC application has a mandatory section called, "Personal Insight Questions" (also known as the PIQs). Join UCSB Admissions Counselors to discuss the freshman UC PIQs. What is expected of students in an answer, how to share your story. This workshop is not specific to UC Santa Barbara as all nine UC campuses share the UC application.
• UC Activities & Awards: Join the UCSB Office of Admissions in a live webinar as we discuss ways applicants can maximize the Activities and Awards section in the UC Application by showcasing involvement outside of the classroom. The UC application is shared by all nine undergraduate UC campuses. This webinar is intended to help you apply to any UC campus.

• UC Application Overview: Learn how to fill out the UC application for transfers. Webinars will be available on the calendar in November.

• Transfer Admission at UCSB: A detailed overview about UC Santa Barbara and the junior-transfer admission process. 

• UC Transfer Admission Planner:  Learn about the useful and essential UC transfer planning tool, the UC Transfer Admission Planner (UC TAP).

• UCSB Transfer Admission Guarantee: Learn about UCSB's Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG), available for CA community college students. Webinars available in August and September each year.
• One-on-One Virtual Transfer Appointments: UCSB offers prospective transfer students individual appointments with an Admissions Counselor.
