UC Santa Barbara has a Transfer Admission Guarantee program with all California community colleges.
This program establishes criteria for guaranteed admission to UCSB for the fall terms only.
A trademark of this program has been our "paperless" process. All California community college students are covered under
our guarantee program, providing they complete the requirements and submit an application for fall admission.
UCSB’s TAG criteria are available here for your review:
TAG’s are available for nearly all majors at UCSB except performing arts majors in the College of Letters and Science. UCSB’s
College of Creative Studies does not offer TAG agreements. Refer also to:
Though not required, students now have the option to submit a TAG form
for UCSB. If you choose not to submit a form, you will still be guaranteed admission providing you meet our TAG requirements and
apply for fall admission. A student who does submit a TAG form will receive a written confirmation along with a copy of our TAG criteria.
Students may submit a TAG contract through the end of October prior to the fall quarter application filing period.
