24. How do I change my major?

Prior to submitting your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR), you may change your major. If you are interested in a major that UCSB offers, but which is not listed, the major requires additional screening. After enrollment, you typically must wait at least two quarters before changing majors. Contact the Office of Admissions for more information.
